1. About this policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Beachlet ("we," "us," and "our") collects, uses, and discloses personal information through thebeachlet.com, our storefront, and related customer-service interactions. It also explains the choices available to you.

For privacy questions or requests, contact info@thebeachlet.com. For help with an order, contact support@thebeachlet.com. Our Terms of Service explain the terms for using the store and purchasing our products.

2. Information we collect

Information you provide. This can include your name, email address, telephone number, billing and delivery addresses, order history, account details, customer-service messages, and information you include in a review or newsletter signup.

Bracelet customization. We collect the beach, sand, cord colors, knot, quantity, and other options you choose. When you add a custom bracelet to your bag, the builder can generate a preview image and attach it to the cart and order through Shopify. Your selected beach describes the product you want; it is not a request for your device's precise location.

Payment information. Payment details are submitted through Shopify checkout and the payment providers offered there. We receive the information needed to administer an order, such as payment status and transaction details. Please do not send full payment-card details to us by email or chat.

Information collected automatically. The storefront and its service providers can collect IP address, browser and device information, approximate location derived from an IP address, pages viewed, referring pages, interactions, cookie identifiers, and timestamps.

3. Where information comes from

We collect information directly from you when you place an order, use the builder, create an account, subscribe, leave feedback, or contact us. We also receive information automatically through the storefront and from service providers involved in payments, delivery, fraud prevention, analytics, advertising, and customer support.

If you contact us through a social platform, that platform processes information under its own privacy policy. We receive the information you choose to share with us there.

4. How we use information

  • Process payments, prepare the bracelet you selected, fulfill orders, and handle returns or other order issues.
  • Operate your account, shopping bag, saved preferences, and the custom builder.
  • Respond to questions and send transactional updates, including order confirmations and tracking.
  • Send marketing emails when you subscribe or when otherwise permitted, and measure relevant campaigns.
  • Understand storefront performance, improve products and browsing, and measure advertising where permitted.
  • Detect fraud, protect the storefront, maintain business records, meet legal obligations, and resolve disputes.

Information requested at checkout may be necessary to complete an order. You can browse without placing an order or subscribing to marketing.

5. When we disclose information

We disclose information to providers that help us operate the business, including Shopify, payment providers, delivery partners, hosting and technical providers, customer-support services, and analytics or advertising providers where permitted. The information disclosed depends on the service being provided.

Shopify powers our storefront, checkout, account features, and order processing. Shopify may also process information for purposes described in its own policy. Read Shopify's Privacy Policy for details.

We may disclose information when necessary to comply with applicable law or valid legal requests, protect rights and safety, prevent fraud, or handle a business reorganization or transfer. We may also disclose information at your direction, such as to a payment method you choose.

6. Cookies, analytics, and advertising

We use cookies and similar technologies for shopping-bag and checkout functions, account access, security, preferences, analytics, and advertising. The storefront includes a Meta advertising pixel, subject to the marketing permissions provided by Shopify's Customer Privacy API.

Some advertising-related disclosures, including identifiers and browsing activity shared with advertising partners, can qualify as a "sale," "sharing," or targeted advertising under certain privacy laws even when no money changes hands.

to review available categories and update your choices. The consent interface and available options can depend on your region. Browser settings can also block or delete cookies, although this may affect storefront features. Choices may need to be repeated on another browser or device or after clearing browser data.

Shopify's privacy controls support applicable opt-out preference signals, including Global Privacy Control in configured regions. You can also contact us about an applicable privacy opt-out. An advertising opt-out does not stop essential order communications.

7. Marketing choices

You can unsubscribe from marketing email using the unsubscribe link in a message or by contacting info@thebeachlet.com. Unsubscribing does not prevent messages necessary to fulfill or support an order. Providing a phone number for delivery or customer service does not by itself enroll you in text-message marketing.

8. Retention and security

We keep personal information for the time reasonably needed for the purposes described here, including order fulfillment, customer service, tax and accounting records, fraud prevention, legal obligations, and disputes. Retention depends on the type of information, the reason it was collected, and applicable requirements.

We use reasonable safeguards appropriate to the information we handle. No online service or transmission is completely secure. Protect your account credentials, and contact us if you believe an account or order has been accessed without permission.

9. Privacy rights and requests

Depending on where you live and which laws apply to our business, you may have rights to access personal information, obtain a portable copy, correct inaccurate information, request deletion, withdraw consent, or opt out of certain advertising-related processing. These rights can be subject to exceptions, including information needed to complete an order, maintain required records, or address a dispute.

Send requests to info@thebeachlet.com, describe the request, and provide enough information for us to locate the relevant records. We may need to verify your identity or an authorized agent's authority. Do not include sensitive identification documents unless we specifically request an appropriate verification method.

If an applicable law permits an appeal, reply to our response asking for an appeal. You may also contact the appropriate privacy regulator or your state's attorney general. We will not discriminate against you for exercising rights protected by applicable law.

10. International visitors

Our business and service providers can process information in the United States and other countries. Those countries may have different data-protection rules. Shopify explains its international processing and applicable safeguards in its privacy documentation.

Where European, UK, or similar data-protection rules apply, relevant reasons for processing can include performing a contract with you, complying with legal obligations, legitimate interests in operating and protecting the business, and consent where required. You may have additional rights to object to processing, restrict processing, withdraw consent, or complain to a supervisory authority.

11. Children

The storefront is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. A parent or guardian who believes a child has submitted personal information should contact us so we can review and address it.

12. Third-party websites

Links to payment providers, social platforms, and other third-party websites are governed by those providers' policies. This policy describes Beachlet's practices and does not replace the privacy information provided by those services.

13. Updates and contact

We may update this policy to reflect changes to our practices, services, or applicable requirements. We will identify the updated date and provide additional notice when required. Questions about this policy or the handling of personal information can be sent to info@thebeachlet.com.
